The Madison/Virgil USD 386 board of education meets on the second Monday of each month. However, held a special meeting on Friday, Aug. 1. The following report was generated from the unofficial minutes, which are subject to board approval.
President Dallas Luthi called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m.
Roll call was answered by D. Luthi, Justin Isch, Amy Hind, Jannette Luthi and Jennifer Watts. Also attending was Dallas Woolf. Board member Ty Gaines was absent.
Following a 15-minute executive session for personnel matters (no justification included), Hind made a motion to accept the resignation of Kim Kingery as a Math teacher as outlined in the Negotiated Agreement regarding Liquidated Damages on Contract Termination. Watts seconded the motion, which was approved 4-1, with J. Luthi voting no.
Hind made a motion to approve Logan Buehler as Junior High Assistant Football coach and Junior High Head Boys Basketball coach for the 2025-2026 school year. Watts seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 5:20 p.m.
