Toronto Days 2025 Drew Crowds, Sparked Community Spirit

The streets of Toronto were filled with energy and excitement over the Fourth of July weekend as residents and visitors came together to celebrate Toronto Days 2025. The event, organized by the Toronto Booster Club, concluded with a lively Saturday night block party that drew crowds from across the state.

Families, friends and visitors enjoyed live music, games, food vendors and community festivities throughout the weekend. For many, the highlight was the chance to reconnect and celebrate hometown pride.

In addition to the celebration, the weekend served as an opportunity to raise awareness for the Booster Club’s ongoing project, the construction of a new community playground. Fundraising efforts continue through grant applications, local business partnerships, and special events.

“Every contribution counts,” Keila Sherman said. “We’re making steady progress toward our goal,” said Sherman, president of the Toronto Booster Club.

With a new year ahead, the Booster Club is inviting community members to get involved. Volunteers are needed not only to help plan and staff events, but also to participate in monthly meetings, which last just 30 to 45 minutes.

The next Booster Club meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Toronto Library, where the group will also welcome new board members.

Looking forward, the club will host several events in support of the Playground Fund: Aug. 30 – Labor Day Weekend at Cross Timbers State Park (The Point): The Booster Club will offer concessions including food, drinks, and ice cream.

Sept. 6 (7 a.m. – 12 p.m.) – The Toronto Farmers Market returns to Main Street, featuring fresh produce, handmade goods, and an opportunity to support local vendors.

For updates, volunteer opportunities, or to reserve a booth at the market, follow the Toronto Booster Club on Facebook or email toronto [email protected].
