A total of 20 youth participants showed five species during the Round Robin Livestock Showmanship finals on Sunday, July 27, with Corinne Nelson, FM claiming the senior title and Jorja Beeman, MPS, claiming the intermediate division title. This was Beeman’s third consecutive title in the intermediate division and has one more year left in the intermediate division before moving up to the senior level. Nelson capped off her 4-H career with the championship title and the grand champion Breeding Gilt at the 2025 Greenwood County Fair. She will be attending Kansas State University this fall.
During the annual Greenwood County fair, intermediate and senior contestants competing in the showmanship class are guaranteed a spot in the Round Robin when they finish in the top two in a specific division. If they qualify in multiple divisions, the next qualifying participant will qualify in the event. The qualifying order for the 2025 annual fair was: Horse, Sheep, Swine, Beef and Goat divisions.
Grand and reserve animals from their respective showmanship classes were used in the Round Robin competition.
Participants could earn up to 50 points per species with a total score of 250 being possible.
Nelson claimed the title with a total of 212 points. Claiming Reserve Grand Champion was Caylin Luthi, MPS, who tallied 203 points.
Beeman claimed the title with 204 points. Claiming reserve Grand Champion in the intermediate division was Brody Greenwood, who tallied 192 points.
Others competing in the senior division were: Bayleigh Benjamin, Henry Perrier, Brenn Hilton, Miley Baumgartel, Lylly Stapleford, Hannah Perrier, Addison Westerman and Brooke Gaines.
Others competing in the intermediate division were: Carver McDonald, Emma Baumgartel, Cooper Luthi, Braxtyn Evenson, Bradyn Greenwood, Jenna Conley, Molly Hurlburt and Haddie Mae Seaton.
