The East Central Kansas Model T Ford Club meets the second Thursday of each month. The ECKMT’s will meet at 6:30 p.m. on August 14 in the conference room of the Coffee County Library located on Highway 75 in Burlington. The main entree and drinks will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish to share with the meal that will be served before the meeting.
The meetings are a time for sharing experiences and road trips etc. The group is looking forward to reports on several attended events. A number of members will be joining “The Wall That Heals Escort” from Lebo to Emporia Aug. 12. Line up begins at 9:30 a.m. and will travel on Old Hwy 50 to Emporia. Next, the group will hear a report from members that attended the National Meeting in Canada.
The group will learn more about the upcoming events: Sept. 3-6 Hillbilly Tour in Rolla Mo., Sept. 27-Oct. 1 Model T Bridge Tour, Parke County, Ind., Oct. 5 Lawrence Regional AACA Car Show Lawrence and Oct. 7-10 AACA Eastern Division Swap Meet and Car Show - Hershey, Pa. Owning a Model T is not a requirement for membership or attendance.
