Greenwood County lost one of its finest. On August 8th at 4:00 PM, we invite all who knew and loved Marcia Borst to join us for a celebration of her life at Eureka Downs in the Braden Room.
There will be dinner, and it’ll be come and go. Just a time to gather, share stories, remember, and celebrate her the way she lived—tough, smart, and full of grit.
My mom was a rancher through and through. A true cattleman. She could outwork any man, but her wisdom was every bit as strong as her muscles. Fierce, intelligent, and deeply rooted in the land and this community.
In true Marcia fashion, she made it clear her celebration of life needed to wait until August—after the calves were worked and the yearlings were shipped. The work always came first.
This day is for her, and for anyone who knew what a remarkable woman she was. Please come help us celebrate a life well lived.
