The Greenwood County Commissioners held a short meeting on Monday, July 21, where they discussed routine items.
Levi Vinson with Emergency Management shared documentation with the commission regarding proposed chip and seal projects in the county. Vinson noted Road and Bridge Supervisor Allen Greenwood was unable to attend the meeting and asked him to share the documents for them to review before next week’s meeting.
Commissioners will review the items and asked that Greenwood gather additional pricing details for discussion at future meetings.
The commission approved a $1/hour pay raise (to $19.50) for Noxious Weed employee Joseph “Joey” Caylor as he recently completed all of his licenser exams.
Sheriff Heath Samuels gave an update on recent purchases.
The commission approved special payables, regular payables and payroll for July 25, totaling $153,905.89.
The commissioners’ next meeting is Monday, July 28, at 9 a.m.
