Middle of July already and the heat is on. Temps were high over the weekend, but the heat indices were ridiculous! I’m not looking forward to triple digit temps. If the temps never got above 80° that would be wonderful, but then again, it wouldn’t be Kansas in July. Right?

You can definitely see progress on the Cedar Creek bridge on Hwy 105 north of Toronto. They have switched traffic to the southbound (west side) of the bridge. They are removing the old concrete from the rest of the bridge now. Maybe by this time next year the bridge will be finished?!
It will be nice once they are finished. But, I’ve noticed that there will be a slight bend in the road now. May not matter to some, but years ago the kids would use the bridge as a starting point to drag race going south. On second thought, I guess it’s probably a good thing that the bend will be there. I don’t know if kids drag race one another anymore. The cars now are just not what we had in the 50s,60s and 70s! What we did was dangerous and dumb.
Answer: Nonsense. I often wonder why words such as this one are no longer in use. I suppose it was replaced by some new word that didn’t sound so old fashioned.
It seems like school just let out a couple weeks ago and now there are ‘Back-toschool’ specials everywhere and it’s fair time again. Where oh where does the time go?
