Methodist Women Met To Celebrate And Plan

United Women in Faith (UWF), the women’s group of the Eureka United Methodist Church (UMC), met Sunday June 22 following worship service. Plans for future activities and reports of the past were discussed. The group helped with a successful Vacation Bible School for elementary youth, hosted in UMC and coordinated with the Lutheran and Christian Congregational churches. Mission of the Month ideas were discussed. The July Mission will be school supplies or cash donations for supplies to help support the Coalition that is assembling supplies for junior and senior high students. The worship service for July 13 was planned. The women of the church will conduct the worship service in the absence of Rev. Linda. An evening social for all women of the church is being planned for late summer. UWF meets quarterly following worship service. The next meeting will be Sept. 14. The Morning Circle of UWF will resume in September on second Tuesdays.
