Second Saturday Breakfast Offers Free Meal And Fellowship at UMC

Members of the Eureka United Methodist Church (EUMC) are inviting the community to their Second Saturday Free Breakfast, a monthly tradition built on faith, generosity, and a hot plate of comfort food.

The next breakfast will be served Saturday, July 12, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the EUMC, located at 521 N. Main, in Eureka. This month’s menu includes biscuits with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, fruit, coffee or tea. Meals are for dine-in guests only and all are welcome; no reservations required. Church members volunteer their time to prepare and serve the breakfast, while generous donations from the community— including fresh eggs and funds, help make the meal possible. Organizers emphasize that this is not only about food, but also about offering a welcoming space for conversation, connection and kindness.

“We know there may be folks who could use a good, free meal right now, and we want to be there for them,” said one church member. “Whether you come hungry for food or just for fellowship, we’re glad to have you.” The spirit of the breakfast is deeply rooted in scripture, drawing inspiration from Matthew 25, where Jesus says, “Just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.”

For more information, contact the church or reach out to the organizer at 918-630-1785. And if you’re free this Saturday morning, the Methodist Church warmly welcomes you to join them for breakfast and a reminder that kindness is always on the menu.
