Named To SIK Honorable Mention Selection

Two Eureka student- athletes continue to receive post season honors, as both were named to the Sports In Kansas 2-1A All-State honorable mention baseball and softball teams.

Lady Tornado junior Madelyn Miller led the team with 23 RBIs. On defense, she had a .979 fielding percentage, including one double play and throwing out 20 runners on the season, while only recording 2 errors. Miller is the starting catcher for the Tornadoes. She is the daughter of Scott and Shelby Miller of Eureka.

Eureka’s Tanner Biering, a 2025 graduate of Eureka Junior/Senior High School, had a .452 batting average, with 19 hits, 5 runs batted in (RBI) and 17 stolen bases. On defense, he recorded 31 innings pitched over 12 games, recording 58 strikeouts. During the season, he surpassed 100 career strikeouts. He had a .933 fielding percentage. He is the son of Josh and Lexie Biering of Eureka.

Both were also named to the All Tri-Valley League team selections.
