The Eureka Cheer team claimed multiple awards last week at the UCA Cheer Camp, at Butler Community College.
The Lady Tornadoes claimed 1st place in the Spirit routine-medium division; 1st place Overall in Sideline- all divisions; claimed the only UCA Traditions Award for bringing Eureka Game Day atmosphere to camp; Gold, Superior Camp routine evaluation (the highest possible which is only awarded to one team);Blue, Superior Spirit routine evaluation; 2nd place Camp routine-medium division; and 4 spirit sticks.
The team had two members receive Pin It Forward awards with Monica Sanchez and Miley Baumgartel each being named as recipients and four members, seniors Ava Noble, Taryn Burk, and Baumgartel, and sophomore Sanchez, were named All-American Cheerleaders.
Senior Burk was also named as a Jump Contest Finalist.
