A total of 95 contestants competed in a total of 587 entries in the second weekend of the 2025 season of the Top Hand Youth Rodeo Association (THYRA) on June 14-15, at Eureka Saddle Club Arena.
All around winners from the weekend were: Senior: Lane Moore, Winfield and Myah Arndt, Emporia,
Intermediate: Emery Mills, Eureka and Mayley Decker, Eureka.
Junior: Virgil O’Bannon, Garnett and Londyn Wente, Abbyville.
PeeWee: Hayes Schoneberg, Edgar, Neb. and Oaklynn Wedman, Piedmont.
A Goat Roping event was also held during the second weekend of the THYRA weekeng with Jarod McCaffree winning the electric bike.
A barrel racing fundraiser for the National Junior High Rodeo contestants was also held with Blakely Jones winning the youth and open and Aspen Greenwood winning the PeeWee. The next THYRA will be next weekend, July 5-6 with another rodeo weekend being held July 26 - 27, with finals being held Aug. 30 31. If inclement weather, a rain date will be held on Sept. 6 - 7.
All Top Hand Youth Rodeo events are held at the Eureka Saddle Club, located at 1427 Q Road, in Eureka.
