The Greenwood County tax sale, previously noted to be held this summer, is now expected to be held in September.
Last week, Greenwood County Assistant Attorney and County Counselor Paul Dean shared with The Eureka Herald that the county is ready to file, however, they are waiting for four legal descriptions to buildings that are tax debts on the buildings only.
Dean noted that he had sent a request to the Register of Deeds Office for those descriptions and once received, the legal publication will be filed/ published in The Eureka Herald. The notice will include details on the approximate 45 properties and the date of the sale.
