The monthly meeting of the Harmony Sunflowers was called to order on Sunday, May 4 at 6 p.m. in the basement of Christ Lutheran Church by President Chason Gulick. Twenty-two members, three clover buds, and two leaders answered roll call.
Secretary Brody Mitchell read last month’s minutes and they were approved as read.
Brody Rockhill presented bills for thank you magnets and also the yearly enrollment fees. Doris Decker presented two bills for the new fair signs that were purchased.
Peyton Floyd gave the treasurer’s report. Tyler Wells gave the reporter’s report. Mica Coulter gave the leader report. Michelle Johnson updated the club on the educational tour to Salt Creek. Decker shared the new club signs for the fair and also talked about the club’s Club Tour which was planned for Sunday, June 1. Decker also talked to the club members about the Eureka Days parade.
In new business, the club voted to change their June meeting time to accommodate the tour schedule. The club voted to pay the bills. A motion was passed to have the club walk in the Eureka Day’s parade on June 7.
Duke Coulter and Noah Everly-Burtin played a game with the club to review parliamentary procedure. D. Coulter led the club in signing Happy Birthday to the May birthdays.
Ruger Schouten gave a talk on archery. Kolten Morton gave a talk on dairy goats.
D. Coulter moved to adjourn the meeting, Schouten seconded, meeting adjourned. Allie Knowles and Bryce Teter led the club in playing “Upset the Barn” outside after the meeting. The club members had sweet treats at the conclusion of the game.
The next monthly meeting was held on Sunday, June 1, which was the group’s club tour and ended with a BBQ and swim party.
