Two Eureka students received post season honors recently as they were named to the All-Tri-Valley League (TVL) Baseball and Softball teams.
Eureka senior Tanner Biering was named to the All-TVL Baseball team. On the season, Biering has a .452 batting average, with 19 hits, 5 runs batted in (RBI) and 17 stolen bases. On defense, he recorded 31 innings pitched over 12 games, recording 58 strikeouts. During the season, he surpassed 100 career strikeouts. He had a .933 fielding percentage.
Lady Tornado junior Madelyn Miller was named to the All-TVL Softball team. On the season, Miller led the team with 23 RBIs. On defense, she had a .979 fielding percentage, including one double play and throwing out 20 runners on the season, while only recording 2 errors. Miller is the starting catcher for the Tornadoes.
