In a powerful new collaboration, Eureka Pharmacy and the Greenwood County Coalition Committee have joined forces to ensure every student in the Eureka USD 389 district starts the 2025–26 school year prepared and equipped for success.
For the upcoming school year, Eureka Pharmacy will generously provide all school supplies for every elementary student, while the Greenwood County Coalition hopes to cover all school supplies for students attending Eureka Junior/Senior High School— regardless of family income.
The Greenwood County Coalition is excited to embark on this partn ership with Eureka Pharmacy to help eliminate barriers to learning and give every student the tools they need to thrive in the classroom.
“Growing up in such a wonderful, close-knit rural community has been one of the greatest blessings of my life,” said Isaac Boone, owner of Eureka Pharmacy. “This community has given me so much over the years, and I’ve always dreamed of finding meaningful ways to give back,” he continued.
Boone was inspired after learning about 25 other small, independent pharmacies working to provide school supplies in their communities.
“Supporting our students and schools is an investment in the future of our community, and I’m honored to be part of this initiative,” Boone added. “Together, we can continue building on the strengths of this amazing place we all call home.”
To support the effort for junior/senior high school students, the Greenwood County Coalition will launch its annual School Supply Drive.
Monetary donations are encouraged; the Coalition will use funds to purchase needed supplies.
Donation drop boxes for supplies will be placed in businesses across Greenwood County later this summer. However, immediate donations can be dropped off at The Eureka Herald, 822 E. River Street, Ste. 100 or mailed to: GWCO Coalition School Supply Drive, c/o Emily Hansel, 516 N. Adams St., Eureka, KS 67045. Monetary donations can also be sent via PayPal or Venmo by sending to PayPal: emily. [email protected] or Venmo: @gwcocoalitionssd The last four digits of the association phone number are 2614. Those using these methods are asked to note “for supplies” with the donation.
No applications will be necessary for students enrolled in Eureka USD 389—all will automatically be included.
Further details about supply distribution and volunteer opportunities will be announced in the coming weeks.
