Medy Honor Higuchi, 64, of Hamilton died on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
She was born in Leyte, Philippines, the daughter of Crispin Acaso and Barnarda Honor. She spent her childhood in Leyte and graduated from local schools. In the early 1980s, she moved to Sunnymead, Calif., before settling in Bardstown, Ky. In 2010, she moved to Hamilton, where she resided until her passing.
She is survived by her children, Emily Higuchi of Knoxville, Tenn., and Michael Higuchi of Janesville, Wis.; three grandchildren; and three siblings: Melchora Stitt of Hamilton, Annie Drexler of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Melly Akin of Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Tony Acaso and Bernie Acaso.
Cremation has been effected. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Koup Family Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family online at koupfunerals.com.
