With plans of opening for the summer next Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day), the City of Eureka and Eureka Recreation Commission joined forces to add a “baby pool” to the Eureka Aquatic Park (EAP).
Crews from Ramsey Concrete poured the cement last Friday, with hopes of completing the project this week.
Concrete was also poured on the east side of EAP, after landscaping was removed.
The EAP will be open daily, 12 - 5 p.m., with swim lessons being held during the month of June. Those dates are expected to be placed on the EAP Facebook page after Memorial Day. Admission to the park is $3 per day, with children 4 and under being free. Those in that age group must be accompanied by an adult.
Single and household passes, as well as punch cards, are available.
The EAP is located on South Main Street, in Eureka.
