Presented With Teacher Of Influence Award

Presented With Teacher Of Influence Award
Angie Lowe and Kimber Ptacek

Kimber Ptacek, a senior at Eureka Junior/Senior High School, has been named a 2025 Kansas Governor’s Scholar—an honor awarded to the top academic one percent of high school seniors across the state. Scholars are selected from accredited public and private schools throughout Kansas.

As part of the Governor’s Scholars program, each recipient is invited to recognize a “Teacher of Influence” who has had a meaningful impact on their academic or personal growth. Ptacek presented this special recognition during the school’s annual Senior Day assembly on Friday, May 16.

“As a Kansas Governor’s Scholar, I am allowed to present an award to a teacher of influence,” Ptacek shared. “While I’ve only been learning under her for two years, her influence has been significant. Her constant support, encouragement, and backing of the various clubs, sports, and activities of our school has been nothing short of impactful. It is my honor and privilege to present the 2025 Teacher of Influence award to Angie Lowe,” she concluded.
