Members of the Eureka Junior High Track and Field team wrapped up their season on Tuesday, May 6, at the Tri-Valley League meet in Caney. Athletes competed through dreary weather conditions to close out their year of competition, with several finishing in the top three to claim hardware.

The seventh grade girls scored 16 points to place eighth out of eight teams.
Reagen Ashlock- 14th Place in the Shot Put with a throw of 18’ 4”; 11th Place in the Finn Flier Javelin with a throw of 51’ 10”; 19th Place in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 17.31.
Kinsley Cox- 17th Place in the Discus with a throw of 44’ 7”; 8th Place in the Shot Put with a throw of 22’ 8.5”.
Alivia Hare- 9th Place in the Discus with a throw of 49’ 5”; 11th Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 10’ 6”.
Naomi Jordaan- 15th Place in the Shot Put with a throw of 17’ 5”; 18th Place in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 17.21; 18th Place in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 39.88.
Natalie Pennington- 7th Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 11’ 6”; 10th Place in the Finn Flier Javelin with a throw of 52’ 2”; 17th Place in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 17.14.
Andee Weatherby- 7th Place in the Discus with a throw of 52’ 0”; 1st Place in the Finn Flier Javelin with a throw of 75’ 7”.
Shaylyn Werner- 8th Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 11’ 4.5”; 17th Place in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 39.65.

8th Grade Girls
Eureka’s eighth grade girls scored 46 points to place sixth out of eight teams.
Emma Baumgartel- 2nd Place in the Pole Vault with a jump of 6’ 6”; 4th Place in the Finn Flier Javelin with a throw of 84’ 1”; 6th Place in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 33.47.
Amorette Guillaume- 9th Place in the Pole Vault with a jump of 5’ 6”; 3rd Place in the Triple Jump with a jump of 27’ 0.25”; 7th Place in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 20.18.
Madalyn Langer- 13th Place in the Discus with a throw of 58’ 3”; 9th Place in the Shot Put with a throw of 26’ 0.5”; 10th Place in the Finn Flier Javelin with a throw of 64’ 2”.
