Young athletes in Eureka and surrounding areas will have a chance to sharpen their football skills this summer at the third annual Eureka Football Camp, set to take place from July 14-17 at McGinnis Field, located at Eureka Junior/Senior High School (EJSHS).
The camp, open to both boys and girls from kindergarten (age 5) through high school, aims to provide age-appropriate instruction on the fundamentals of football in a supportive and energetic environment.
Camp sessions will be divided by grade level:
•Kindergarten (age 5) to 4th grade: 4-4:45 p.m.
•5th to 8th grade: 5-5:45 p.m.
•High school students: 6-7 p.m. Participants are asked to arrive dressed in athletic wear and wear cleats or tennis shoes. All campers should also bring their own water to stay hydrated throughout the session. Registration forms were sent home with Marshall Elementary (ME) students and are due by Wednesday, May 21. Additional forms can be acquired by visiting the ME office or in the foyer at The Eureka Herald.
Early sign-up is encouraged as space may be limited. Forms should be turned into the ME or EJSHS offices. Cash payments are preferred, however check payments will be accepted.
For additional information, parents and guardians are encouraged to contact Coach McKee at 316416-1342.
There is a fee for the annual camp, with participants receiving a t-shirt.
