We’ve been having some beautiful, sunny days, several days of rain also, but Nature has come alive after the cold winter. Is there a more beautiful time of year than Spring? You can’t help but like this time of year. I know the pollen and everything is a problem for many people, but it is so neat to see everything “come to life” at this time of year.
The wheat fields are an amazing shade of green right now, as well as everything else showing signs of new growth. How can one not find this time of year beautiful.
We offer our sympathy to all who lost loved ones this past week. May they all rest in peace.

Who was the first woman to run for President of the United States?
The First Saturday of the Month Farmers and Art Market was held Saturday. There was a good turnout for the event. These kind of activities are becoming popular in towns/cities everywhere. It’s a great way to sell stuff that you have or have made and want to sell. Homemade products of all kinds: bread, pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, jams, and jellies; as well as fresh eggs, fresh produce, plants like tomato plants and flowers and many other items.
Saturday was a beautiful day for outdoor activities and on top of all the goodies available, it is a chance to visit with people you haven’t seen in a while. It makes me think of stories my grandparents would tell of going to town on Saturday mornings to get the week’s supplies and to catch up with friends.
In this ‘hurry up world’ we live in it’s great to see things slow down to a nice leisurely pace. The whole world is in such a hurry all the time now.
Answer: Victoria Woodhull made history in 1872 as the first woman to run for President of the United States, nearly 50 years before women gained the right to vote with the 19th Amendment. Running against President Ulysses S. Grant as an Equal Rights Party candidate, Woodhull stood tall on a platform of progressive reforms. Her candidacy challenged gender norms of the era and laid the groundwork for the women’s political movement in America. Despite being largely dismissed by the political establishment, her campaign marked a groundbreaking moment in history.
