Seventh Grade Boys Claimed First Place Honors At Yates Center

Eureka’s Junior High track and field teams traveled to Yates Center on Tuesday, April 22, where the seventh grade boys tallied 77 points and claimed first place honors.

Following are the individual medaling results for Eureka participants: 7th Grade Boys

The seventh grade boys claimed first place out of 10 teams.

Cord Adkins- 2nd Place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’8”.

Sebastian Guillaume- 3rd Place in the 800M Run with a time of 2:49.0.

Nolan Morris- 1st Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 13:53.08.

Felix Neill- 2nd Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 13’ 5”.

Maverick Welsh- 2nd Place in the 100M Hurdles with time of 19.44.

4x200 Meter Relay- 1st Place with a time of 2:09.46 consisting of: Cord Adkins, Felix Neill, Sebastian Guillaume, and Brandon Cornett.

800 Sprint Medley- 3rd Place with a time of 2:22.81 consisting of: Brandon Cornett, Sebastian Guillaume, Gavin Gonzalez, and Asher Euler.

7th Grade Girls

The seventh grade girls scored 18 points and placed seventh out of 11 teams.

Bella Damron- 3rd Place in Long Jump with a jump of 13’ 7.5” 4x200 Meter Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 2:20.48 consisting of: Bella Damron, Reagen Ashlock, Alivia Hare, and Andee Weatherby. 8th Grade Boys

The eighth grade boys scored 77 points, placing

sixth out of 11 teams.

JaKolby Robbins- 2nd Place in the Discus with a throw of 99’ 5”; 3rd Place in the Shot Put with a throw of 36’ 3”.

4 x 200 Meter Relay- 1st Place with a time of 1:53.70 consisting of: Christian Sanchez, Tate Scott, Eli Mason, and Dylan Conard 800 Sprint Medley- 3rd Place with a time of 2:04.34 consisting of: Caden Nusz, JaKolby Robbins, Tate Scott, and Cohen Marks 8th Grade Girls

The eighth grade girls scored 21 points and placed eighth out of 11 teams.

McKenna McDonald- 3rd Place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’6”; 1st Place in the 400M Run with a time of 1:06.3.

Madison Invitational

Members of the Eureka Junior High track and field team competed at the Madison Invitational on Thursday, April 17.

Following are the individual placing results for Eureka participants: Girls

The Lady Tornadoes tallied 33 points, placing seventh out of seven teams.

McKenna McDonald- 3rd Place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’ 2”; 1st Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 14’ 3/4”.

4 x 200 Meter Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 2:16:53 consisting of: Bella Damron, Winnie Brenckman, Emma Baumgartel and Amorette Guillaume.

Boys

Eureka’s boys recorded 47 points and placed fifth out of seven teams.

JaKolby Robbins- 1st Place in Shot Put with a throw of 38’ 8”.

4 x 100 Meter Relay- 2nd Place with a time of 54.88 consisting of: Maddox Hughes, Cord Adkins, Christian Sanchez and Tate Scott.

4 x 200 Meter Relay- 1st Place with a time of 1:57.30 consisting of: Christian Sanchez, Tate Scott, Eli Mason and Dylan Conard.

Addition To Fredonia Results

Also placing at the Fredonia Invitational was the 7th Grade Girls 4x100 Metal Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 1:06.41 consisting of: Naomi Jordaan, Alivia Hare, Natalie Pennington and Shaylyn Werner.

Up Next

The Tornadoes were scheduled to travel to Neodesha on Monday of this week, before hosting the Eureka Invitational on Thursday, May 1, beginning at 2 p.m. Eureka will conclude their season on Tuesday, May 6, at the Tri-Valley League meet in Caney. The meet is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
