West Elk’s softball team hosted Central Burden on Monday, April 21, where the Patriots split victories.
In game one, the Lady Patriots trailed 0-1 after the second but, dominated in the fourth inning to claim a 17-1 win over the Raiders.
West Elk jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in game two, but it wasn’t enough in the high scoring game. Central was within 2 after the fourth, 9-7, and continued to etch their way into the lead. The Patriots lost the game 19-24.

The Lady Patriots were scheduled to host Erie on Monday and Cedar Vale on Tuesday of this week, before traveling to Oxford on Thursday, May 1. The Patriots will compete in the WJL Tournament, May 8-9.
