Taylor Palmer, a 2023 graduate of Eureka Junior/ Senior High School, was honored last Thursday, April 24, as a Top 20 Cardinal at Labette Community College (LCC), in Parsons.
The special honor was presented during the annual Student Awards Ceremony in the Thiebaud Theatre. The event recognized students who have excelled in academics, leadership, and club participation throughout the academic year and Palmer was among those being named.
Palmer will graduate this May with an Associates Degree in Health Science. She plans to attend Newman University this fall to pursue a nursing degree, while earning an academic scholarship. She has also verbally committed to join the Jets softball team.
Palmer is the daughter of Matt and Janel Palmer of rural Eureka.
