Eureka Music Club met at Christ Lutheran Church on April 14 with 12 members and one guest in attendance. Following a short business meeting, Sheryl Moody introduced the program with the theme of “Things We Love About Spring and Easter.”
To begin the program, Mary Ellen Forbes played and sang “April Love” made popular by Pat Boone.
Robin Himes played a piano solo entitled “The Strife Is O’er, the Battle Won,” Grace Stacy played a selection from Jesus Christ Superstar – “Heaven On Their Minds.” Moody then shared a piano solo “There Is A Redeemer” by Keith and Melody Green. Marla DeGraffenreid shared a piano solo entitled “Au Matin” (English translation – To the Morning).
Marilyn Seymour entertained the group with “I Only Want to Say” from Jesus Christ Superstar followed by a sing-a-long of the hymn “Christ Arose.” Jean Edwards concluded the program with a piano solo “May God Bless You On Easter Sunday.”
Delicious refreshments were served by the hostesses.
