Last week, the Greenwood County Road and Bridge shared that the bridge located under Fall River Dam, in the public Army Corp. of Engineer park, has been permanently closed. Cement barricades were placed to block off to all vehicle and foot traffic.
The bridge was closed after recommendation from bridge inspection engineers, as it was the worst rated bridge in Greenwood County.
As of now, it is not planned to replace the structure.
