The regular meeting of the Eureka Garden Club was held on Friday, April 11, at TNT Catering for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Risa Russin, Vice President, called the meeting to order after lunch. She thanked Cammie Wilson and Sherrie Dennis for being the hostesses. There were 12 members and one associate member present. Plans were made to clean and plant the Mini Garden before the next meeting on May 2. The watering schedule was passed for members to sign up for time to care for the garden during the summer. The program for the day was a Chinese gift exchange of plants/gardening items. This was a fun and exciting activity. Door prizes were won by Marilyn Seymour; a gift card to Salt Creek, and a basket of indoor plants and candy won by Sheila Hughes.
The next month’s hostesses will be the officers; Vicki Lindsey, Russin, Hughes and Sue McDonald. The meeting was adjourned by standing and repeating “The Gardener’s Creed.”
