Eureka Junior High Track & Field Competed At Fredonia
The Eureka Junior High Track team traveled to Fredonia on Tuesday, April 15, where several Tornadoes claimed hardware. 8th Grade Girls
The eighth grade girls scored 62 points and placed fourth out of seven teams. Those earning hardware included: Emma Baumgartel 2nd Place in the Pole Vault with a vault of 6’ 6”.
McKenna McDonald- 1st Place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’ 6”; 2nd Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 13’ 3.5”; 1st Place in the 400M Dash with a time of 1:04.49; 1st Place in the 800M Run with a time of 2:40.20.
4 x 100 Meter Relay- 2nd Place with a time of 1:02.93 consisting of: Madalyn Langer, Wenonah Brenckman, Annie Bogle, and Amorette Guillaume.
7th Grade Girls
The seventh grade girls scored 34 points, taking fifth place out of seven teams. Those earning hardware included: Bella Damron- 1st Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 14’ 1.5”; 3rd Place in the 200M Dash with a time of 31.34.
Andee Weatherby- 3rd Place in Turbo Javelin with a throw of 67’ 4”.
4 x 200 Meter Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 2:20.83 consisting of: Bella Damron, Reagen Ashlock, Alivia Hare, and Andee Weatherby.
8th Grade Boys
The eighth grade boys scored 69 points and finished in third place out of six teams. Those earning hardware included: Tavin Austin- 2nd Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 13:34.82.
Maddox Hughes- 2nd Place in the Pole Vault with a vault of 7’ 6”.
JaKolby Robbins- 1st Place in Shot Put with a throw of 37’ 2.50”.
4 x 100 Meter Relay- 2nd Place with a time of 56.50 consisting of: Maddox Hughes, Christian Sanchez, Cohen Marks, and Caden Nusz.
4 x 200 Meter Relay- 2nd Place with a time of 1:56.11 consisting of: Christian Sanchez, Maddox Hughes, Eli Mason, and Dylan Conard.
800M Medley Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 2:07.51 consisting of: Caden Nusz, JaKolby Robbins, Maddox Hughes and, Cohen Marks.
7th Grade Boys
The seventh grade boys scored 62 points, taking third place out of seven teams. Those earning hardware included: Cord Adkins- 1st Place in the High Jump with a jump of 4’ 8”; 1st Place in the Long Jump with a jump of 14’ 6”.
Gavin Gonzalez- 3rd Place in the 100M Hurdles with a time of 20.22; 2nd Place in the 1600M Run with a time of 6:11.73.
Nolan Morris- 1st Place in the 3200M Run with a time of 13:15.01.
Maverick Welsh- 3rd Place int the Long Jump with a jump of 13’ 7.75”.
4 x 100 Meter Relay- 3rd Place with a time of 1:01.86 consisting of: Nolan Morris, Cooper Wunderlich, Asher Euler, and Landon Noonan.

Eureka also competed at Madison on Thursday, April 17. Details were unavailable at the time of publication. The Tornadoes were slated to travel to Yates Center on Tuesday April 22, at 3:30 p.m. before traveling to Neodesha on Tuesday, April 28 at 3 p.m. Eureka will host their annual invitational on Thursday, May 1 at 2 p.m., before concluding their season on May 6 at the Tri-Valley League meet in Caney, beginning at 3 p.m.
