Salt Creek Farm Expands To New Location, Investing in Growth and Community

Salt Creek Farm, a local business offering premium meats, honey, and local produce, recently moved to its new, larger facility. After running at full capacity for nearly a year, the family-owned farm had outgrown its Main Street Market location. The need for additional space made the search for a larger retail space a priority. The new location offers room for expansion while also bringing a commercial kitchen, more warehouse capacity, and a bigger frozen storage area—all under one roof. Since its beginning in 2017, Salt Creek Farms has built a strong foundation by wholeselling quality meat and honey products to local restaurants. Over time, they have expanded into retail sales, offering a variety of non-perishable products, gift boxes, and an online subscription service called the Farm Club. They’ve also developed a dedicated following through their brick-andmortar location, where customers can shop for fresh meats and other farm goods.

The new Salt Creek Farms location will feature an expanded market area with room to grow and the capacity to offer even more products. “Our Main Street Market location was a great place to test the local interest in our products, but we were limited on space,” said Sara Shivers, co-owner of Salt Creek Farm. “We’re excited to be able to serve our community better and provide a wider variety of products, including value-added items from our soon-to-be operational commercial kitchen.”
