Elk County Wrestling’s (ECW) Axl Ellsbury went undefeated at the 6U Girls State Tournament on Sunday, March 9, and brought home first place honors.
A. Ellsbury went 3-0 in the 53 pound weight class to win top honors.
Also representing ECW was Skylee Edwards, who went 3-3 and placed 6th in the 49 pound weight class.
ECW was also represented in the Girls Championships, for the chance to travel to Iowa and wrestle for Heartland Duals Team Kansas. Emma Baumgartel battled 2-2 resulting in 5th place and Hendrix Ellsbury dominated her bracket for 3-0 earning 1st Place and a spot on Kansas Girls 1st-8th grade Dual team.
