The Madison City Council meets bimonthly on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. The following report was generated from the official minutes of the Feb. 3 meeting, which were approved during their most recent meeting on Feb. 17.
The regular meeting of the Madison City Council was called to order on Feb. 3 at 7:15 p.m. Bob Kimberlin led the Pledge of Allegiance. The council approved the agenda, the minutes of the Jan. 27 meeting and accounts payable.
Clerk Alice Grimm talked to the council about the survey from Driggs Design Group. The council approved to spend $1,200 on the survey. Discussion was held on an updated city map. Driggs Design Group stated the council could get an updated copy from the Greenwood County Appraiser’s Office.
A complaint was received about dogs running loose, tormenting other dogs and tearing up property. The council agreed to send a pre-violation letter to Erica Miser.
Other discussion included work on the Barnard Addition, tree trimming, street repair and taxes on the Georgianna Riggs house.
Two executive sessions were held for Non-Elected Personnel. After returning to open session, no decisions were made.
The meeting was adjourned. The next meeting of the Madison City Council will be held on March 10.
