Crowned At EHS

Eureka seniors, Cody Lewis and Chloe Boyer were crowned as the 2025 Eureka Junior/Senior High School King and Queen during the Winter Royalty event last Friday, Jan. 31.

During halftime of the boys game, senior candidates were introduced with Lewis being named King and Boyer being named this year’s Queen.

Lewis is the son of Benjamin and Jennifer Lewis of Eureka. Boyer is the daughter of Brian Boyer of Eureka and Melissa Beasley of Douglass.

Other members of the Winter Royalty court were: for King, Ethan Bauer, Jace Hardenbrook, Christian Dunham and Kadin De-Shane; and for Queen, Marie Frederick, Ashlyn Smith, Cheyenne Gardner and Charlotte Pfister.

Crown bearers for the event were Marshall Elementary first graders Graham Bechtel and Dawsyn Evenson. They were escorted by 2024 EHS Winter Royalty King Paiton Gravatt. Banff Perkins, 2024 EHS Winter Royalty Queen was unable to attend this year’s festivities.

The Tornado basketball teams split with the Yellowjackets of Fredonia,with the Lady Tornadoes claiming the win last Friday night.

A Winter Royalty dance was held following the basketball games, and concluded the festivities.
