The Harmony Sunflowers 4-H Club met for their monthly meeting on Jan. 12, at 6 p.m. in the basement of Christ Lutheran Church. Acting president, Shannon Rockhill called the meeting to order. Twenty-two members, five clover buds, and two leaders responded to roll call. This was the club’s parents meeting, so officer jobs were carried out by the parents.
Acting secretary Sara Mitchell read last month’s minutes and Michelle Johnson gave the treasurer’s report. Reports were given to the members on 4-H Days and the gavel games team.
In new business, the club voted to pay the bills. They also voted to make a cash donation to Christ Lutheran Church for use of the building . The members voted to help with the Senior Soup Supper on March 14. A motion was also passed for the club to participate in an exchange meeting with Fancy Mustangs on March 2.
Acting Vice President, Beth Teter led the program. During recreation, Lindy Knowles led the club members in playing a shoe race game. Natasha Gravatt gave a parliamentarian tip.
Kelsey Evenson led the club in singing “Happy Birthday” to the January birthdays. Tyler and Larissa Wells gave a demonstration on how to make Max sundaes. Tyrel and L. Wells gave a demonstration on how to make Grinch punch. Allie and L. Knowles gave a demonstration on how to saddle a horse.
After the meeting was adjourned, the members enjoyed a pizza party to celebrate the club’s enrollment. The new FACS agent, Alisha Fisher was also present to meet the club members.
The club also met on Sunday, Feb. 2.
