The West Elk Patriots basketball team traveled to Udall last Friday, Jan. 31, where the Patriot boys basketball team came away with a 54-42 victory.
West Elk trailed 11-14 after the first but claimed the lead in the second, leading at halftime 24-21. The Patriots continued the momentum in the second half. West Elk led 40-34 after three and outscored Udall 14-8 in the final stanza to win the game 54-42.
Scoring for the Patriots were Peyton Fechter 11, Kase Kill 10, Garett Usry 15, Trent Haag 6, Jacen Gaston and Jaxson Bogdahn each with 5 and Gage Cook 2.
