Winter Royalty To Be Crowned At Eureka Junior/Senior High School This Friday, Jan. 31

The 2025 Eureka Junior Senior High School (EJSHS) Winter Royalty King and Queen will be named in a ceremony on Friday, Jan. 31, during halftime of the high school boys basketball game at EJSHS.

The community is invited to attend. Students in grades nine through twelve recently selected the following students as the 2025 Winter Royalty Court; for Queen: Chloe Boyer, Marie Frederick, Cheyenne Gard-ner, Charlotte Pfister, and Ashlyn Smith; for King: Ethan Bauer, Kaden De-Shane, Christian Dunham, Jace Hardenbrook and Cody Lewis.

The 2025 Crown Bearers are Marshall Elementary first graders Dawsyn Evenson and Graham Bechtel. Evenson is the daughter of Austin and Kelsey Evenson. She would like to be a teacher when she grows up. Bechtel is the son of Glenn and Jimi Bechtel. He would like to draw pictures when he grows up. They will be escorted by 2024 Winter Royalty King Paiton Gravatt and Queen Banff Perkins.

This year the theme for the annual event is “Winter Royalty: A Holiday Extravaganza.”

Each day the students dress up according to a specific holiday. The days are as follows: Monday: No School; Tuesday: “ Christmas in January” wear Christmas clothes; Wednesday: “ Valentine’s Day” guys wear red, girls wear pink; Thursday:

Father’s and Mother’s Day” BBQ dads vs soccer moms; Friday: “ 4th of July” wear red, white and blue.

All King and Queen candidates are members of the senior class.
