According to the article, written by Lindsay Smith, Greenwood County, ranked 33rd best U.S. county to retire, has a population of 5,870, according to 2023 data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
The article noted that data shared showed the average household income for a resident is $58,276, below the median income for the entire state of Kansas, which is $72,639.
Greenwood County has 15 townships, including the city of Eureka, which has a population of 2,264 as of 2023, according to the census.
