Eleven Eureka Wrestling Club (EWC) members made the short trip to Augusta for their annual open and novice tournament.
EWC’s Graham Bechtel, Brynlee Ashlock and Adleigh Ray all claimed championship hardware in their divisions.
Following are the individual match wins for EWC participants: 6U Boys 55B: Kase Vinson placed 4th. He won a 14-6 major decision.
6U Boys 64: Graham Bechtel placed 1st. He won by fall over Waylon Lynn (Andover) (Fall 2:47); won by fall over Kason Bastain (Bulldogs) (Fall 2:21); and won by fall over Declan Crawford (Mulvane) (Fall 2:00).
10U Novice 79A: Daniel Camp placed 6th.
10U Boys 52-58: Tanner Wade placed 6th.
8U Girls 60: Oaklyn Smith placed 6th. She won by fall over Adelyn Mason (Mulvane) (Fall 0:13).
8U Novice 64: Ridge Samuels placed 5th. He won by fall over Jackson Lewis (SCP) (Fall 0:11); and won a 13-9 decision over Dexter Westerman (Winfield).
8U Boys 55: Jad Day won by fall over Wyatt Coda (Independence) (Fall 1:45); and won a 7-3 decision over Carter Moore (Winfield).
10U Girls 65: Brynlee Ashlock placed 1st. She won by fall over Marley Whalen (Carroll) (Fall 0:15); won by fall over Desirae Schoechert (Central) (Fall 0:36); won by fall over Serenity Benington (Augusta) (Fall 1:00); and won by fall over Rosalie Landrum (El Dorado) (Fall 2:18).
10U Girls 140: Kinslee Vinson placed 3rd.
12U Girls 110-115: Adleigh Ray placed 1st. She won by fall over Quinn King (Circle) (Fall 0:48); and won by fall over Matilda Scott (Power House) (Fall 3:55).
Also representing EWC was Kaydenn Winn, 8U Boys 58.
