The following backgrounds were provided, listing the candidates’ activities they have participated in during high school.
Marie Carmilla Frederick
Marie Frederick, 17, is the daughter of Mike Frederick of El Dorado. She has participated in Softball for four years and was a manager and played Volleyball for one year. She has also been involved in Band for four years, FCCLA for two years, WILD Science, Foreign Language Club and SADD for three years, FCA for two years and was FBLA Secretary for one year. Marie has been the Treasurer for SADD for two years and is currently the WILD Science Treasurer as well. She has been on the Honor Roll and received Tornado Awards for English, Biology and Concert Band. After graduation, Marie plans to attend Neosho County Community College and pursue a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Kadin Micheal DeShane
Kadin De Shane, 18, is the son of Kyle and Amanda Camp of Eureka and Tracy and Nicole DeShane of Aurora, Colo. He participated in Cross Country and Baseball for one year, Football for three years and Wrestling for four years. He has also been involved in Scholars Bowl and Forensics for three years. After graduation, Kadin plans to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.
Cheyenne Faith Gardner
Cheyenne Gardner, 17, is the daughter of Jennifer Gardner of Eureka and David Gardner of Climax. She has participated in Softball for four years, Cheerleading for two years and Volleyball for one year. She is a member of SADD, FCCLA, FFA, WILD Science, FBLA, Twisted Designs and Foreign Language Club. Cheyenne is currently the President of WILD Science and Vice President of SADD and has been the past President of FBLA and past Vice President of SADD. Outside of school, Cheyenne volunteers to help the Greenwood County Wild Kansas Association with their annual fishing tournament. Her academic honors include regular and high honor roll and Tornado Awards in Spanish, Business Essentials, Twisted Designs, and Photography. After graduation, Cheyenne plans to attend Fort Hays State University to pursue a degree in Environmental Studies and Range Management. After college, she plans to further her education and enroll in the Park Ranger Law Enforcement Training Program.
Jace Connor Hardenbrook
Jace Hardenbrook, 17, is the son of Nichole Ervin and Tommy Noll of Severy and Calin and Christina Hardenbrook of Geuda Springs. He participated in football and track for two years and band for one year. He has been a member of FCCLA for three years and Foreign Language Club for four years. He is currently the Treasurer for the Foreign Langauge Club. His honors include regular and high honor roll, an academic letter and Tornado Awards in Spanish, Band, Earth Space Science, English and Scholastic Achievement. After graduation, Jace plans to attend Baker University on a Football scholarship to pursue a degree in Sports Administration.
Charlotte Grace Pfister
Charlotte Pfister, 17, is the daughter of Joshua Pfister of Wichita and Sarah Burke of Eureka. She has participated in Volleyball for two years, Powerlifting for one year, Yearbook for one year and Cheerleading for three years. Currently, she is a Cheer Captain and Senior Yearbook Editor. In November 2024, she was a member of the third-place team at All-State Game Day Cheer. During high school, she has been class Treasurer and a STUCO representative. She is the current Student Council President. She has also been involved in FCA for one year, Foreign Language Club for two years, SADD for three years, FCCLA for three years and WILD Science for four years. Outside of school, she volunteers for Eureka Wellspring. Charlotte is also a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She has received numerous Tornado Awards and has been on the High Honor Holl throughout high school. After graduation, Charlotte plans to attend Butler Community College on a Cheerleading scholarship and then pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene at Wichita State University.
Ethan Luke Bauer
Ethan Bauer, 18, is the son of Anthony and Heather Bauer of Eureka. He participated in Cross Country for three years, Wrestling and Baseball for two years, Football for one year, Basketball for one year and was a Basketball Manager. Ethan also attended FCA for one year. His academic honors include regular honor roll and high honor roll as a senior. After graduation, Ethan would like to become a Tower Climber Technician.
Ashlyn Jade Smith
Ashlyn Smith, 18, is the daughter of JJ Smith of Toronto. She participated in Basketball for 2 years. She has been a member of FCA, Foreign Language Club, WILD Science and Book Club where she served as secretary. Outside of school, she has been a member of the Fall River 55ers 4-H Club for twelve years. In her 4-H club, she has served as Secretary for two years, Vice President for two years, and President for two years. She has been on the Honor Roll throughout high school. After graduation, Ashlyn plans to attend Pittsburg State University and pursue a degree in Athletic Training.
Christian Michael Dunham
Christian Dunham, 17, is the son of Todd Dunham of Wichita and Megan Geren of Derby. He participated in football for one year and was a member of Wild Science for one year. Christian works at Eastside Service. He has been on the Honor Roll and received Tornado Awards in Physical Science and English. Christian is currently attending Flint Hills Technical College for Power Plant Technology. After graduation, he plans to continue his education at Flint Hills Technical College and pursue an Associate’s Degree in the Power Plant Technology Program.
Chloe Alexia Boyer
Chloe Boyer, 17, is the daughter of Brian Boyer of Eureka and Melissa Beasley of Douglass. She participated in Wrestling and Choir for one year and Football Manager and Pop Chorale for two years. She has been also a member of Book Club for two years and SADD for four years. Chloe is currently attending Allen County Community College to obtain her CMA. Her honors include lettering in Vocal Music and Academics and has been on the All A’s Honor Roll, High Honor Roll and Regular Honor Roll throughout high school. She has received Tornado Awards in Earth Space Science, Human Growth and Development, English, Yearbook, Pop Chorale, Lifespan Development, Biology, Algebra I, Scholastic Achievement, and Nutrition and Wellness. After graduation, Chloe plans to attend Wichita State University to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. After she completes her first degree, she will continue her education in Nursing to become a Hospice Nurse.
Cody Allan Lewis
Cody Lewis, 17, is the son of Benjamin Lewis of Eureka and Tiffany Lewis of Wichita. He participated in Wrestling one year and Football two years. He has been a member of SADD for four years, Pop Chorale for one year and Band for one year. Cody has been on the Regular Honor Roll and High Honor Roll throughout high school with All “A” honor roll twice. He has received Tornado Awards for Band, English, Algebra I, Biology, Foundations of Early Childhood, and Furniture & Cabinetry. He has also lettered in Vocal Music, Academics and Football. After graduation, Cody plans to work for Spirit AeroSystems.
