Members of the Elk County Wrestling (ECW) Cobras made the trip to Fredonia last Sunday, Jan. 19, for their annual kids tournament.
Following are the individual match wins for ECW participants: 6U Girls 45: Brooklyn Lind placed 2nd. She won a 9-0 major decision over Micaela Keath (Neodesha).
6U Girls 50-65: Axl Ellsbury placed 2nd. She won by fall over Octayvia Fahler (Independence) (Fall 0:14); won by fall over Bellomy Fahler (Independence) (Fall 1:32); and won by fall over Mia Nothern (Chanute) (Fall 0:30).
6U Boys 37-40A: Hudson Houchin placed 4th. He won a 12-2 major decision over Ryker Strickland (Independence).
6U Boys 37-40B: Jayce Baumgartel placed 2nd. He won by fall over Gatlin Dunn (Bulldog) (Fall 1:51); and won a 20-12 major decision over Benson Howard (Fredonia).
6U Boys 46A: Kestyn McTaggart placed 5th.
6U Boys 46B: Andy Beal placed 4th.
6U Boys 64-67: Kyptyn McTaggart placed 2nd. He won by forfeit over Justin Boatright Jr (Parsons); and won by fall over Axten Cummins (Fredonia) (Fall 0:23).
8U Girls 50: Hendrix Ellsbury placed 2nd. She won by fall over Kenzlie Justice (Cherryvale) (Fall 1:15); won by fall over Mila Bright (Fredonia) (Fall 0:46); and won by fall over Oakley Arnold (Neodesha) (Fall 0:15).
8U Girls 55-65: Axl Ellsbury placed 4th. She won by fall over Savrynn Wood (Neodesha) (Fall 0:24).
8U Girls 55-65: Pacey Mc-Gee placed 2nd. She won by fall over Aubree Guffey (Fredonia) (Fall 1:19); won by fall over Axl Ellsbury (Elk County) (Fall 1:16); and won a 12-10 decision over Savrynn Wood (Neodesha).
8U Novice 70-76: Elwood Benson placed 1st. He won a 12-10 decision over Oliver Coy (Maize); and won an 11-4 decision over Krim Bearden (Neodesha).
10U Novice HWT: Jebadiah Benson placed 2nd.
10U Boys 79-82: Maverick Ford placed 3rd. He won by fall over Cooper Peyton (Neodesha) (Fall 1:53).
10U Boys 79-82: Kash Bidwell placed 1st. He won a 13-0 major decision over Maverick Ford (Elk County; won by fall over Drake Hanna (Carl Junction) (Fall 2:38); and won by fall over Cooper Peyton (Neodesha) (Fall 0:27).
10U Boys 110: Taybor Galvan placed 1st. He won by injury default over Cooper Athey (Independence) (Inj. 2:11); and won a 13-7 decision over Cooper Athey (Independence).
12U Girls 80: Payton Vancil placed 4th.
12U Girls 85-90: Ivy Lind placed 5th.
12U Girls 85-90: Autumn Love placed 1st. She won by fall over Brooke Reyes (Neodesha) (Fall 2:35); won by fall over Kadence Martin (Neodesha) (Fall 1:16); won a 9-8 decision over Autumn Ecret (Cherryvale); and won by fall over Ivy Lind (Elk County) (Fall 1:05).
12U Girls 110: Lakin Love placed 3rd.
12U Girls 120-130: Pyper Ford placed 2nd. She won by fall over Siriniti Felton (Cherryvale) (Fall 0:25); and won by fall over Novalee Novotny (Neodesha) (Fall 0:14).
12U Girls 140-150: Rachael Benson placed 3rd. She won a 12-1 major decision over Blayne Martin (Caney Valley); and won by fall over Taryn Clay (Neodesha) (Fall 0:17).
12U Boys 76-84: Kash Bidwell placed 2nd. He won by fall over Kross Roebuck (Neodesha) (Fall 0:39); won a 16-0 tech fall over Mason Scott-Adamson (Parsons); and won an 18-2 tech fall over Drake Hanna (Carl Junction).
12U Boys 96: Weston Houchin placed 8th.
12U Boys 105-110: Kestin Kisling placed 7th. He won by fall over Philip Fontes (Cherryvale) (Fall 0:49); and won by fall over Philip Fontes (Cherryvale) (Fall 1:09).
14U Girls 101-110: Emma Baumgartel placed 3rd. She won a 16-2 major decision; and won by fall over Lylah Ritchie (Parsons) (Fall 1:55).
